Snapshot Sunday: ‘#febphotoaday’ Catch-Up Edition
The past week was gladly spent welcoming my father-in-law to Chicago, bidding our Grace Face farewell, gladly accepting Napa gratitude offerings from my parents, celebrating a day dedicated to true love, working (for the four-day weekend), touring our fair, new city and enjoying life in the unseasonably-warm Midwest.
February 14: Heart

My father-in-law has a big ol’ one. HEART, weirdos. He’ll laugh at your jokes, entertain you with his anecdotes and bad memory and says “Oh, shoot…” or “That’s wild!” whenever something tickles him. He’s incredibly generous and uses every day for loving and giving.
February 15: Phone

My phone rang on Monday evening, a Chicago number I didn’t know, when I answered one of our doormen, Willie, says “Miss Leweke, you have flowers in the lobby.”
February 16: Something New

This post may lead you to believe that my husband spoils me and, frankly, you’d be right. But he inherited that big heart - I can’t break it by not letting him.
February 17: Time

If you know anything about me at all, you’d know that it’s ALWAYS time for pizza. Even when you have to wait 2 hours in a crowded, stuffy bar - watch a man have a claustrophobia attack, pass out and seize - drink over-priced beer and wine, there will always be time for pizza.
February 18: Drink

Our latest wine club acquisition. (And reason I ordered a new watch the same day I purchased new sunglasses. Some may call booze “liquid courage,” but I feel like it’s really just my “liquid enabler.”)
Oh, and since I’ve been so naughty, here’s a pretty rad shot of The Bean in all its Luminous Field glory.
